Such processes reduce seedling survival when higher densities of conspecific neighbours surround them that provide opportunity to other tree species for regeneration. This process has been observed at both species and community level. However, Recent studies showing bias in the measurement of density dependence have the potential to sow confusion in the field of ecology. And theoretical studies has doubt the effected of CNDD in maintaining species diversity. In this seminar, the Origins, developments and debates will be discussed.
