Abstract:
Professor Daiqin Li is a Changjiang Scholar Chair Professor at Hubei University, Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore, and doctoral supervisor. He received his Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Canterbury (New Zealand) in 1997 and completed postdoctoral research at James Cook University (Australia). He worked as a professor at the National University of Singapore from 1998 to 2024. His research focuses on animal behavior, evolutionary biology, sensory ecology, arachnology and biological materials, with publications in Science, Current Biology, Science Advances and other top journals. He has published over 220 papers and given more than 40 international keynote speeches. He served as President of the Arachnological Society of Asia (2018-2021) and holds editorial roles for many international journals. In 2024, he joined Hubei University full-time and founded the Research Center for Behavioral Ecology and Evolution, studying animal evolution driven by global environmental change.
