Calcium signaling involved in transmembrane transport of ions in plants

Abstract:

Wang Cun is a professor, doctoral supervisor and vice dean of the School of Life Science, Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University. He has won the National Excellent Youth Science Foundation project, Shanxi Youth Science and Technology Model and Youth Science and Technology Award. He received his bachelor’s degree from the Biology Base Class of Inner Mongolia University in September 2007 and his doctor’s degree from China Agricultural University in February 2013 under the supervision of Professor Wu Weihua, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, San Diego, under Professor Julian Schroeder, Member of the National Academy of Sciences. His research focuses on the molecular mechanism of water and mineral element transport in plants, mainly in Arabidopsis and wheat.
