Abstract:
Dr. Zhang Yang is a Professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Life Sciences, Sichuan University. He also serves as Director of the Key Laboratory of Bio-Resource and Eco-Environment of the Ministry of Education. Dr. Zhang received his B.S. degree from Sichuan University in 2009 and his Ph.D. degree from the John Innes Centre / University of East Anglia, UK, in 2014. He subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the John Innes Centre from 2014 to 2015. Supported by the National Young Talent Program (Overseas High-level Talent Program) in March 2016, he joined Sichuan University as a faculty member. His research group focuses on three main areas: Elucidation of biosynthetic pathways for important plant metabolites; Dissection of regulatory mechanisms underlying plant metabolic networks; Plant-based synthetic biology.
